To be considered for our summer camp, please complete the interest form below. Your child will be added to the list and someone from our team will reach out to you soon. Please note, completing the interest form does not guarantee enrollment in our program or participation in summer camp. Youth from the community and our target demographics will be prioritized since we strive to protect those who are more at risk. Please read through all the information below before submitting. If we are not a good fit please inquire about referrals. 

Summer Camp

  • Each child will have the opportunity to attend Monday-Thursday. 

  • You may sign up for multiple weeks

  • We will host camp Monday-Thursday, June 14-August 19 from 9am-12pm

  • We will be closed the first week of each summer month during the dates mentioned above

  • Must be 6-17years old. Students will be separated into peer groups based on age range

Other Expectations

  • Behavior:  Students who participate must have the capacity to follow directions, collaborate, and have self-control. Horses are dangerous animals and certain behaviors cannot be exhibited around them at this facility

  • Fitness: Students must have a physical dated within the last year. Must also have enough strength, balance, and flexibility to mount a horse independently, maintain straight posture, and balance while the horse is in motion. There are weight limits, as a horse cannot carry more than 20% of it's own body weight without serious injury. Our horses weight approx between 400-1000 lbs. 

  • Google classroom: Students should have their own email addresses that contain their names that are not connected to any other schools or google classrooms (it will not allow us to add them) because we do assign weekly work. They will also be required to complete a few lessons before the start of their camp session. They will also have a short assignment to complete at camp each week. Once registered, please add the appropriate class below based on grade level and begin wotking on posted assignments.

  • Fees: We strive to provide low-cost summer camp for people in our community. The current weekly rates are

         $80 for a single child

         $150 for two siblings ($10 off)

         $220 for three siblings ($20 off)

  • Food: Please pack a healthy snack for your child. No unhealthy chi[s, candy, sweets, or junkfood allowed except on Thursdays. Please bring a filled reusable  water bottle to class each day (we are reducing our carbon footprint and are eliminating single use plastic water bottles)

  • Clothing: Students should wear long pants that are not too tight nor  too loose (no shorts, skirts, dresses, or sweats). Helmets will be provided and are required. Please wear hair in flat styles that can fit securely under a helmet such as low ponytails, two low braids/French braids, corn rows (not braided into a high ponytail), etc. 

  • ActivitiesAt CJE, we just don't ride horses, but do other activities as well. Classwork, gardening, exercise, and other components are mandatory in the program. There will also be art and games!
